Our Mission is to provide a portal where Canadian artists can showcase and sell their work and where Canadians can easily find and shop the original artworks from their local artists.
The Founder of theARTist.ca is an artist herself and knows the hurdles an artist has to jump over to get their work shown to the public. Applications to galleries…only to be refused or renting gallery space to have a show…which can be very costly or ugh…lugging all your artwork to fairs and markets. Our founder wanted to find a way that Canadians could connect to and support their LOCAL artists. A benefit to both the artist and the people who live in their communities.
We have the lofty goal of creating the largest database of available original Canadian artworks searchable by location, style, colour, medium, subject or shape. So please feel free to spread the word.

Create your account by registering with us. Registration is FREE! Your free account allows you to have a profile on theARTist.ca and to save your favourites. Creating an account is super easy.
Once you're registered you can purchase the Membership Plan through your account.
Once you've purchased the Membership Plan you can now use our easy to follow form to list all your Artworks from your user Dashboard. All your artworks then appear on your profile page and are returned as results in a relevant search.
